Prof. Shirley Yeung has served as an international mentor and advisor to Kinarya Cooperative since 2018, guiding the integration of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into Kinarya’s creative, educational, and cooperative ecosystem.

As Chair of Community Education at ICENECDEV (UN Global Compact Member) and Associate Vice President of the UNESCO Hong Kong Association, Prof. Yeung has continuously provided academic and strategic insights to ensure that Kinarya’s initiatives align with global sustainability and gender equality frameworks.

In her review of the film “Impian 1000 Pulau” (Dream of 1000 Islands), she highlighted that the production uniquely embodies 14 out of the 17 SDGs, demonstrating how culture, education, and community-based entrepreneurship can work together as a living model for sustainable development.

Today, under her continued mentorship, Kinarya Coop has successfully implemented blockchain-based systems that integrate all 17 SDGs — beyond climate action — into one measurable and inclusive ecosystem.

Notably, Prof. Shirley Yeung became the first international contributor and supporter of the global movement #1Ticket1Mangrove, symbolizing a shared commitment to unite people worldwide in collective climate action, education, innovation, and community resilience.

Everyone is invited to continue this journey by participating in #1Ticket1Mangrove, connecting local impact to global sustainability.
